22nd FSPRM SYMPOSIUM SUCCESSFULLY ORGANISED

The Federation of Sport Pedagogues of Macedonia has successfully organized the 22nd Symposium on Sport and Physical Education of Youth in Struga, on October 4th and 5th, 2019. The symposium was realized through the support of the Agency of Youth and Sport and the Association of Sport Federations. The Argumentum Association for Research in the Social Sciences has also participated in the organization of the symposium.

The symposium was opened by Mr. Darko Kaevski, Director of the Agency of Youth and Sport, who outlined the important role of the Federation of the Sport Pedagogues in the sports education and research, having in mind the tradition of the federation and its existence for 66 years, particularly in terms of sport activities of the youth and the results presented in the FSPRM scientific journals. He encouraged the enhancement of joint events and projects for the purpose of realization of projects in Europe.

During the official opening ceremony, the participants were greeted by: Prof. Dr. Tonća Jukić (University of Split, Croatia), Prof. Dr. Eleonora Mileva (National Sports Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria, on behalf of the Bulgarian Sport Pedagogues), Prof. Dr. Višeslav Krsmanović (European Sport Institute), Prof. Dr. Anezhelina Yaneva and Prof. Dr. Georgi Ignatov (St. Kliment Ohridski University, Sofia, Bulgaria), Prof. Dr. Vlado Bučkovski (SS. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia) , Prof. Dr. Isa Asllani (State University of Tetovo, Macedonia), and other eminent professors from the area of sports sciences and related fields.

In the opeining speech, Prof. Gordan Stojčevski, President of FSPRM has otlined the contribution of the late professor Aleksandar Naumovski for the development of the Federation. Furthermore Mr. Stojčevski has elaborated the topics of the symposium, as welll as the main challenges for the future.

Prof. Dr. Biljana Popeska, Editor-in-Chief of the RIK and APES journals has expressed the appreciation to the participants , wishing them a warm welcome in Struga.

During the two days of the symposium more than 100 participants from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Albania and Kosovo presented their works or participated in the discussions during the plenary session and in the workshops on the following topics: Physical education and sport in educational system; Competences, education and professional development of physical education teachers and coaches; Physical education and sport for healthy and active life, active communities and health promotion; Holistic approach and holistic learning in physical education; Adapted physical education; Physical preparation and sport in defense and security; Pedagogical, psychological and social aspects of physical education, sport and recreation ;Sport Law; Sport management; Sport tourism; Contemporary approaches in sport training; Sport injures and rehabilitation.

The presented works will be published in the RIK and APES journals (Vol. 47, No. 1 & 2, 2019).
